SoccerSurgery offers our predicted scorelines for the weekend along with some tips for the Fantasy Premier League.
Crystal Palace @ Everton
Key Factor: Everton midfield. What an inconsistent group. Barkley started the season in decent form then passed on the baton to Mirallas for a few games then both disappeared and left Bolassie with sole responsibility for servicing Lukaku. If Everton can keep Palace out of the box on set pieces no way they score.
Scoreline: Everton 1 – Palace 0
Liverpool @ Swansea
Key Factor: Kyle Naughton/Ben Kingsley . Klopp’s gegenpress is relentless and merciless. The weakest of the backline in holding composure are targeted and hunted so the Swansea fullbacks will find this one a big test. They may not come close to passing it based on Liverpool’s recent exploits away from home.
Scoreline: Liverpool 2 – Swansea 0
Chelsea @ Hull
Key Factor: Costa. He’s due a red card isn’t he?
Scoreline: Chelsea 1 – Hull 1
West Brom @ Sunderland
Key Factor: Defensive errors. Sunderland has 4 for the season. West Brom have none.
Scoreline: West Brom 2 – Sunderland 0
Bournemouth @ Watford
Key Factor: Roberto Pereyera. The former Juve man is the sole creative force on the field. Otherwise this game could be tough on the eyes.
Scoreline: Watford 1 – Bournemouth 0
Middlesborough @ West Ham
Key Factor: Antonio. The bulldog leads all midfielders for big chances(3), shots (18) and shots in the box (13) over the last four games.
Scoreline: West Ham 1 – Boro 1
Stoke @ Man United
Key Factor: Marcus Rashford. The Golden Boy nominee has been on fire scoring 3 in his last 4 in the league.
Scoreline: Man United 2 – Stoke 0
Southampton @ Leicester
Key Factor – Slimani. The “Dragon Slayer” has hit the ground running and will terrorise the league if serviced.
Scoreline – Leicester 2 – Southampton 0
Man City @ Spurs
Key Factor – Kevin De Bruyne. Aguero gets the goals but the table setter is KDB. His tactical and positional sense is a nightmare for opponents as seen in the Manchester Derby and his absence will be felt. Nolito’s absence due to suspension also likely puts Jesus Navas on the field which is a bad thing for the fans of the team in blue.
Scoreline – Spurs 2 – City 1
Arsenal @ Burnley
Key Factor – Alexis Sanchez. When you’re hot you’re hot and this Gunner attack is nothing like the Watford attack Burnley saw on Monday night
Scoreline – Arsenal 3- Burnley 0
Pick up of the week – Islam Slimani. In form having scored midweek with great fixtures on the horizon.
Dump of the week – Eden Hazard – If you still have him you have to be kidding. Added to that he goes on the road this week so likely a 2 pointer incoming.
