The Surgeons are back to provide a preview of the action and predicted scorelines for this weekend along with some tips for the Fantasy Premier League.
Arsenal @ Manchester United
Key Factor: Alexis Sanchez hamstrings. Will he play or not? Breaking down the Mourinho bus in a game he is determined not to lose will take the type of dynamic play the Chilean provides. Wenger will get his first victory over the Special One here in a tense affair.
Scoreline: Arsenal 1 – Manchester United 0
Manchester City @ Crystal Palace
Key Factor: Ilkay Gundogan. The playmaker exploded for 2 goals and an assist in City’s last away game and the relationship with Aguero is blossoming. Will he be risked though having played 180 minutes over the international break is the question.
Scoreline: Manchester City 3 – Palace 1
Swansea @ Everton
Key Factor: Ross Barkley. Quite an inconsistent performer but better at Goodison Park
Scoreline: Everton 1 – Swansea 0
Liverpool @ Southampton
Key Factor: Sadio Mane. With LLalana and Coutinho doubts for the game Mane will need to be influential if the Reds are to remain top of the table. A return to his previous club may be more than enough motivation but not enough given the lineup disruptions.
Scoreline: Liverpool 1 – Southampton 1
Bournemouth @ Stoke
Key Factor: Shaqiri. Hughes would be grateful to have his hitman back to face a tough Bournemouth side.
Scoreline: Stoke 1 – Bournemouth 0
Hull @ Sunderland
Key Factor: Snodgrass. A goal and assist off the bench last time out shows the Scot’s importance to this Hull side. The Tigers have been woeful away thus far though and would be lucky to get anything out of this game.
Scoreline: Sunderland 0 – Hull 0
Leicester @ Watford
Key Factor: Jamie Vardy. There are 56 players that have more shots on the season which shows how marginalized Vardy has become this season. A brilliant goal for the national team over the break perhaps kickstarts his season against the oldest back line in the league.
Scoreline: Leicester 1- Watford 0
West Ham @ Tottenham
Key Factor: Harry Kane. The star striker returned last weekend and should profit against a West ham defensive unit that conceded the 2nd most clear chances away from home.
Chelsea @ Middlesborough
Key Factor: Eden Hazard. Hazard will need to be at his best to break down a stubborn Boro side given Costa’s possible absence.
Scoreline: Chelsea 0 – Boro 0
Burnley @ West Brom
Key Factor: Tom Heaton. Heaton leads all keepers for saves and could keep the Clarets in this one.
Scoreline: West Brom 1- Burnley 0
Fantasy pick of the Week: Allan Nyom. Strong fixtures in the next 4 and incredibly priced at 4.3m. Hazard is the trendy pick but due some blanks with tough games against Spurs and City ahead.
Fantasy Drop of the Week: Dmitri Payet. Strong underlying numbers but with a nasty schedule ahead and numerous cheaper options (Firmino, Coutinho, Walcott, Eriksen) it looks like time to say goodbye for now.
